This is the beginning – who knows where it may lead?
I set up the imprint SILENOS BOOKS to publish my own work – at least initially. As you’ll see from Projects, I’ve got quite a lot of varied work lined up, which now includes work by others.
I guarantee the quality of what will be published by SILENOS BOOKS. It will all be well written, well designed, well produced and above all, well worth reading.
SILENOS BOOKS is based in Cambridge, England, where I spend part of the year. I also live on the island of Patmos, Greece, which is a great place for writing. See the images below
I taught literature and theatre in universities and schools from 1974 until 2016, and I’ve written, devised and directed many plays. You can check out my experimental work with ancient Greek theatre (both academic and practical) here. And I remain especially proud of a play I wrote back in 1985 about the 1984-5 miners’ strike in Britain, which was toured around England, Wales and Scotland, and then produced in Australia. You can read it here if you’re interested in political theatre and working class history.
